WHAT IS IT?
Vape tax is being introduced by the government on ALL liquid intent for use of vaping. This includes prefilled ‘disposable’ kits and pods.
HOW MUCH WILL IT BE?
£2.20 per 10ml of liquid.
WHEN DOES IT COME INTO FORCE?
From the 1st of October 2026, manufacturers can no longer produce liquids without tax.
From the 1st of April 2027, no liquids, including prefilled ‘disposable’ kits and pods, can be sold in the shops without tax.
HOW WILL IT BE PAID?
The tax will be paid when we purchase the liquids at wholesale.
WHAT ARE WE DOING ABOUT IT?
As an independent shop, we are going to do our very best to buy in enough UNTAXED stock to see us through until the 1st of April 2027 so you, our customers, can continue buying stock at the normal price for as long as possible.
As stock begins to run out, it will, unfortunately, be replaced with taxed stock. We will do our very best to make sure this is as close to April 2027 as possible.
As we have been trading for over 10 years, we also have a very good relationship with our suppliers. We will be working closely with them on our wholesale prices to minimise any price impact as much as possible and to keep our multibuy offers.
